“ We were in Black Mountain to help serve a Christmas meal to the folks devastated by Hurricane Helene and afterwords we got a bite to eat at the Black Mountain Bistro. It was six of us and we had everything from smash burgers to turkey BLT, Brunswick stew and chili. Everyone thought the portions were huge and delicious. The waitress gave great service! We would recommend Black Mountain Bistro if you are looking for a great place to eat! ”
“ We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Bistro after walking around town. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio. Our server, Alex, was very friendly and helpful. The food was a great portion. The Fried mushrooms were our favorite thing. We also had the grouper Rueben and crab cake( which thankfully didn't have filler ). Such a nice place for a glass of wine with lunch to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. ”
“ While visiting the area we asked around at the shops where we should get dinner. Everyone said you can't go wrong in Black Mountain because every single place has great food! We were headed to another place but the Black Mountain Bistro just looked more inviting. A big outdoor area with trees and umbrellas. We were greeted by a nice smiling face. Our waitress did take awhile to make an appearance but she apologized profusely. I had a special Aperol spritz which was great! My friend ordered a fish sandwich and I had crab cake sandwich. Both excellent. Can't go wrong with the sweet potato fries either. No one mentioned this place but I'm happy we tried it! ”
“ We really like the atmosphere... very open feeling with a classy country design. The food is very good and plentiful. The fish and chips have some of the best breading. I've tasted on fried fish. Turkey and dressing is very well plated and displayed and tastes amazing. This is our first time here and it was a delight. Casual ambience with an upscale twist to country cuisine.. I really like what they've done here... This is a great go to in Black Mountain. ”
“ Lovely mountain atmosphere inside and out. Tasty and satisfying food and drink is perfect for a date, family gathering, or relaxing with friends: new and old. ”
“ Turkey was better then homemade...yummy fruit chutney. Nice portion. The woman who took order was very busy because they just opened and she was still very attentive, professional and polite. Cute decor inside and few tables outside with babbling fountain. Will definitely return. Located near cute little downtown with some specialty stores and lovely mountain view as a backdrop. ”
“ This is a nice little restaurant in Black Mountain with outdoor and indoor seating. We went after a hike and I will say it was a bit more pricey than I expected. There are lots of available cocktails and wine. There are only about three beers on draft. Overall it was a nice place for a lunch and the service was good. ”
“ The fried green tomatoes were my favorite! The country fried steak was a bit over done but when I smothered it in the gravy you couldn't really tell ”
“ In the quaint mountain town of Black Mountain amidst the surroundings of the Appalachian Mountains, sits the Black Mountain Bistro. A large outdoor dining area is spread in front of the establishment. This resturant is clearly an area favorite. When you stroll through the large outdoor patio, you can observe the banter and delight of multiple parties of friends and families enjoying a great meal in beautiful surroundings. The service here is attentive and polite. The indoor area has a full bar and a nice indoor dining venue. The menu is varied, from full entrees to sandwiches and salads. I had the Reuben sandwich, a grilled corned beef, dressing, and sauerkraut plied high on a delightful marbled rye. The menu is replete with fresh ingredient meals and I'm sure anyone would find something to fit their taste. Great jobs folks!! Well done creating a well run delightful local eatery. ”
